【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoverstheprocedureforconductingtheballpunchdeformationtestformetallicsheetmaterialsintendedforformingapplications.Thetestappliestospecimenswiththicknessesbetween0.008and0.080in.(0.20and2.00mm).Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Note1-TheballpunchdeformationtestisintendedtoreplacetheOlsencuptestbystandardizingmanyofthetestparametersthatpreviouslyhavebeenlefttothediscretionofthetestinglaboratory.Note2-ThemodifiedErichsentesthasbeenstandardizedinEurope.ThemaindifferencesbetweentheballpunchdeformationtestandtheErichsentestarethediametersofthepenetratorandthedies.ErichsencupheightsaregiveninSIunits.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
