【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationprescribesstandardnominaldiametersandcross-sectionalareasofAmericanWireGage(AWG)sizesofsolidroundwires,usedaselectricalconductors,andgivesequationsandrulesforthecalculationofstandardnominalmassandlengths,resistances,andbreakingstrengthsofsuchwires(ExplanatoryNote1).1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesofthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.ForconductorsizesdesignatedbyAWGorkcmilsizes,therequirementsinSIunitshavebeennumericallyconvertedfromthecorrespondingvaluesstatedorderived,ininch-poundunits.ForconductorsizesdesignatedbySIunitsonly,therequirementsarestatedorderivedinSIunits.1.2.1Fordensity,resistivityandtemperature,thevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.
