【摘要】:Thisfire-test-responsetestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminetheignitabilityandheatreleasefromthecompositesofcontract,institutional,orhigh-riskoccupancyupholsteredfurnitureormattressesusingabenchscaleoxygenconsumptioncalorimeter.Thistestmethodprovidesformeasurementofthetimetosustainedflaming,heatreleaserate,peakandtotalheatrelease,andeffectiveheatofcombustionataconstantradiantheatfluxof35kW/m.Thistestmethodisalsosuitabletoobtainheatreleasedataatdifferentheatingfluxes.Thespecimenisorientedhorizontally,andasparkignitionsourceisused.Thetimestosustainedflaming,heatrelease,andeffectiveheatofcombustionaredeterminedusingtheapparatusandproceduresdescribedinTestMethodE1354.Thetestsareperformedonbench-scalespecimenscombiningthefurnitureormattressouterlayercomponents.Frameelementsarenotincluded.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection6.
